write monkey is a word processing program with a spartan interface. This one should be able to concentrate on writing. The program is freeware, but needs to run.. NET
following functions, the program offers:
- a spell checker
- an alarm clock / timer
- the program can be set with keys operate
- Statistics
- various navigation options (jumps)
- either typewriter sounds when writing
- Backup options
The main function of write monkey related to the ScrapBook is the markup function. The program supports the two markup languages Markdown and Textile.
markup languages are easy to learn languages (like BBCode, which is often used in forums), which are often in Wikiumfeld use. I use the Markdown syntax, which is especially easy to learn.

How to work with now write monkey?
first write monkey call.
second Write the text.
third Markup export call (via context menu or press CTRL + SHIFT + E)
4th In the Export window markup following mark:
- web Export to default browser
- standard markup: Markdown (or Textile, if you use something like that)
5th From the markup file is an HTML file and opens in the Web browser.
6th Document Title adapt, see here:

7th Capture page with page insert in the scrapbook.
write monkey is especially useful if you want to write longer texts that do not require much formatting and images, because it runs in full screen and it will therefore not be distracted by other programs / messages / pop-up notes, for example, for new e-mails.
